Gemini Advanced Now Can Remember Previous Chats

JAKARTA Previously, Google announced that it had launched a Gemini Live update for users around the world. Now, Google is rolling out another update, but for Gemini Advanced.

Thanks to the update launched on February 13, 2025, Gemini Advanced can recall previous chats. This new feature is added for Gemini to provide a more accurate, useful response, and in line with user expectations.

In other words, Gemini will remember the chat with its users. Whether users only ask simple questions, discuss, or summarize, Gemini will remember everything to come up with a relevant response.

The good thing is, users no longer need to look for their old chat with Gemini to discuss things that have ever been discussed. If you want to continue the topic you've discussed, users can ask questions in a new chat room.

This update may make some users worried about their data security as Gemini can 'remember' all of its conversations. However, Google gives users control over information Gemini can save

"You can easily review, delete, or decide how long your chat history will be saved. You can also disable Gemini App Activities as a whole by opening My Activities," Google explained.

For now, the ability to remember the context and content of the chat is only available in English for Gemini Advanced subscribers through the Google One AI Premium Plan. In the future, Google will bring more languages to all Gemini subscription packages.
