President Prabowo Will Launch Danantara On February 24, 2025
JAKARTA - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto announced the launch of the Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (Dantara) on February 24, which was delivered in his speech at the World Governments Summit 2025.
President Prabowo, who was unable to attend the World Governments Summit 2025 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, gave his speech in a video show, which stated the launch date of BPI Danantara.
"Furthermore, we are ready to launch Danantara Indonesia, our newest 'sovereign wealth fund', which according to our initial evaluation will manage more than $900 billion in assets in management (AUM)," Prabowo said via video from the YouTube account of the Presidential Secretariat which was witnessed in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Friday, February 14.
Prabowo said, Danantara as the new state wealth fund will be launched on February 24.
These funds will be invested in sustainable projects in various sectors, such as renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, downstream industry, and food production.
"Danantara, which will be launched on February 24, this month, will invest our country's natural resources and assets in sustainable and high-impact projects in various sectors, such as renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, downstream industry, food production, and others," said Prabowo.
The Head of State also revealed that the initial funding or initial funding of the Danantara projected to reach 20 billion US dollars.
"Initial funding this year will reach 20 billion US dollars. I think this will be a transformative step. We plan to start around 15 to 20 projects worth billions of dollars, which will create significant added value for our country," he said.

Prabowo said that the strategic projects that had a high impact on the economy were expected to contribute to achieving Indonesia's economic growth target of eight percent in the next five years.
The formation of BPI Danantara is contained in the State-Owned Enterprises Law (UU BUMN) which was ratified at the 12th plenary meeting of the 2025 Session-2 Period on Tuesday (4/2). This is the third revision of Law Number 19 of 2003 concerning SOEs.
