LPDP Scholarships Are Confirmed Not To Be Affected By Budget Efficiency

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) emphasized that the scholarship program of the Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP) was not affected by the budget efficiency policy carried out by the government in 2025.

"All scholarships that are studying are not completely affected," said LPDP President Director Andin Hadiyanto to the media crew at the DPR Building, Thursday, February 13.

Andin also ensured that budget efficiency would not have an impact on scholarship recipients in the following years.

According to him, the LPDP scholarship budget comes from endowment funds so it is not included in the category of spending that is affected by efficiency.

"No, how come scholarship spending costs. From endowment funds, it's safe," he said.

Meanwhile, Andin said that the 2025 Ministerial Scholarship was canceled due to the budget efficiency policy and would be reviewed.

"That's part of the talent management that we are evaluating again, so we encourage it to just go through LPDP," he said.

As part of the efficiency effort, Andin said that the recipients could take part in the LPDP scholarship selection, JAICA, or various other scholarships.

However, for the employees of the Ministry of Finance who excel, Andin said that his party would prepare them to qualify in the selection of other scholarships.
