PGE: Geothermal Energy Project Progress 55 MW In Muara Enim Has Achieved 93.49 Percent
JAKARTA - PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) or PGE reported that the progress of the geothermal energy project with a capacity of 55 Mega Watt (MW) at Lumut Balai Unit 2 (Muara Enim, South Sumatra) has reached 93.49 percent.
"The Lumut Balai Unit 2 project progress has now reached 93.49 percent, with several aspects that still need to be completed such as technical documents and equipment procurement," said PGE President Director Julfi Hadi as quoted in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Thursday, February 13.
Julfi said that the Lumut Balai Unit 2 project is proof of the company's commitment to increasing the capacity of geothermal energy installed in Indonesia to achieve the target of 1 Giga Watt (GW).
"With the addition of 55 MW, we are getting closer to the target of 1 GW, which will contribute significantly to national energy security," said Julfi.
Project Manager of PGE Lumut Project Unit 2 Achmad Sri Fadli stated that his party is committed to always implementing Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) with the highest standards in project development.
"Security is a shared responsibility, and every individual, both Officer and contractor, must ensure that all aspects of HSSE are carried out in accordance with applicable guidelines," said Achmad.
In developing the project, PGE implemented technology that ensures high operational efficiency with minimal and safe environmental impacts for the surroundings, as well as high standards in aspects of health, safety, security and the environment.
