Kadin: Indonesian-Turkey Cooperation Opens Opportunities To Create Jobs
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) revealed that cooperation between Indonesia and Turkey has the opportunity to create jobs.
Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Anindya Bakrie said Turkey was strong in the field of defense and construction.
"The point is how we can invite Turkish investors to invest in Indonesia so as to create jobs using the strengths of the defense industry, infrastructure industry, and also health, and others," said Anindya in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, February 12.
In addition, the partnership between Indonesia and Turkey also has the opportunity to help realize the downstreaming desired by the Indonesian government, such as downstream nickel into electric vehicle battery materials.
"Earlier, another was mentioned regarding the automotive industry (automotive industry). This automotive-industry is now heading to an electric vehicle (EV). He (Turkey) needs materials for batteries. Indonesia has the nickel, it can be processed into battery-making material, can be sent there to make batteries, where they can send their cars to Europe. So I see that this can make the government want 'dihilization' on the investment side," said Anindya.
In addition, trading between Indonesia and Turkey can also help create jobs.
"But the most important thing is that Indonesia sees alternatives to markets," said Anindya.
For information, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia together with the Government of the Republic of Turkey agreed on 13 points of cooperation with the signing of cooperation documents by each high-ranking official as evidence of a solid partnership between the two countries.
The signing of the document was witnessed directly by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Indonesian Presidential Palace, Bogor City, West Java, Wednesday.
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto said that this partnership is for the prosperity of the people of the two countries and also for working for a new world order that is better towards world peace and stability.
