Chronology Of Six Travel Bus Passengers From Sukabumi Died In The Deadly Accident Of The Ciawi Toll Gate

Head of Cidadap Sub-district, Azwar Fauzi, revealed the chronology of the deadly accident at the Ciawi Toll Gate (GT) which resulted in the death of all passengers of a travel car from Cidadap District, Sukabumi Regency, West Java.

"From the information we received, it turned out that the number of travel car passengers driven by Budiman, a resident of Cipetir Village, RT 13/03, Padamat Village, Cidadap District, was not four people, but six people who all died in the accident that occurred on Tuesday night, February 4, "he said in Sukabumi, quoted by Antara, Saturday, February 8.

Azwar explained that initially Budiman received orders to escort three residents of Cidadap Subdistrict, namely Rahmat Gunawan (53), Asep Pardilah (45) and Supardi (40) by using a Toyota Avanza to go to Jakarta for the purpose of building work.

Budiman and his three passengers departed from Cidadap District and picked up another passenger, namely known as Opik, a resident of Pabuaran District, Sukabumi Regency, on Tuesday afternoon.

It turned out that on the way to the travel car, he did not immediately go to Jakarta, but picked up another passenger, Vika Agustina, who is a 16-year-old teenager, a resident of Takokak District, Cianjur Regency.

Furthermore, on the way there was an increase in one unknown passenger, so that in the car there were seven people. However, one of them got off in the Tajur area, Bogor City.

"Initially there were seven passengers, but one of the passengers got off in Tajur, so that six people continued their journey in the travel car, namely a driver and five passengers," he added.

Azwar explained that the same destination for the five passengers consisting of four men and one woman, namely to Jakarta. Those who left for Jakarta to work as construction workers were Rahmat, Asep, Supardi and Opik. Meanwhile, he did not know where Vika was going to Jakarta.

However, when the group arrived and queued at GT Ciawi, a bottled drinking water truck (AMDK) with the Aqua trademark immediately hit the back of a travel car containing six people, causing all passengers to die at the scene.

From the results of the identification, five of the six people in the travel car were identified as Budiman (driver) Rahmat, Asep, Supardi and Vika. Meanwhile, one other victim has not been identified because his body is charred.

"The information after being hit by the car caught on fire. It is possible that one unidentified body is Opik, because the victim is planned to work in Jakarta with three residents of Cidadap District in a building project," he added.

However, Azwar could not confirm whether the victim had not been identified as Opik or not because he was still waiting for the results of the DNA examination.

In addition, who is the passenger who got off in Tajur is still in a puzzle whether it is Opik or not, because of the narrative from the Opik family who used to live in Cidadap District, but moved to Pabuaran District, before leaving, he said goodbye to his family would work as a construction worker in Jakarta.

On the other hand, four residents of Cidadap Subdistrict who died in the tragedy of the accident at GT Ciawi have been buried in a public cemetery (TPU) not far from the funeral home.

The complete identities of the four victims are Rahmat Gunawan (54), a resident of Rancakuning Village, RT 31/05, Padamengi Village, Budiman (46) a resident of Cipetir Village, RT 13/03, Padasuran Village, Asep Pardilah (45) a resident of Cidadap Village/Village, and Supardi (40) a resident of Babakanmindi Village, RT 005/002, Banjarsari Village.
