Monitoring The 2025 SNBP Polemic, DPR Leaders Ask Commission X To Call Mendikdasmen And Mendikti Saintek Next Week
JAKARTA - The leadership of the DPR RI responded to the polemic of hundreds of schools that failed to register their students for the National Selection Based on Achievements (SNBP) 2025 because they did not finalize the School and Student Database (PDSS) until the specified time limit.
Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, said that the party was monitoring the SNBP policy. He admitted that his party had heard complaints from the public regarding the problem.
"We have heard news from the mass media and we have also monitored this issue," said Dasco at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday, December 7.
So, said Dasco, the leadership of the DPR asked Commission X of the DPR to summon the Minister of Basic and Winning Education (Dikdasmen) Abdul Mu'ti and the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Dikti Saintek) Satryo Soemantri Brodjonegoro next week. The summons is to follow up on public complaints regarding the registration of SNBP.
"Friends of Commission X have also paid great attention to this. We ask that next week Commission X will discuss with the relevant ministries," said Dasco.

As is known, many class XII students are threatened with not being able to participate in the National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPM) through the National Selection Based on Achievements (SNBP).
This situation was triggered because the data on the outstanding students were not registered at the School and Student Database (PDSS) due to school negligence.
Some schools that failed to finalize PDSS included SMAN 1 Mempawah West Kalimantan, SMKN 2 Solo Central Java, and SMAN 17 Makassar South Sulawesi. Even the students at the school even held a protest against teachers who neglected to input their data to PDSS.
Videos during student demonstrations at school went viral on social media. It seems that there are children who cry because they are threatened with not being able to study through the SNBP route as a way to achieve their dream.
Some students unfurled banners with disappointment to their teachers such as Teachers are negligent, we are neglected', 'A Dream taker', and so on.
