PKP Minister Maruarar Targets 220 Thousand Houses To Be Subsidy For FLPP By 2025
JAKARTA - Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait targets the distribution of Housing Financing Liquidity Facilities (FLPP) for low-income people to reach 220 thousand housing units this year, although the Ministry of PKP's budget is cut to IDR 1.61 trillion.
"We are still running this year FLPP, yes, because we have tried to stimulate (the realization of cheap houses), looking for ways to increase the number. But, at least we have an initial target of at least 220 thousand (house units) which we still help," he said, in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Friday, February 7.
Regarding the new FLPP scheme, Maruarar stated that his party is currently preparing for this with the Directorate General of Treasury of the Ministry of Finance, Fiscal Policy Agency (BKF), Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), BP Tapera, and PT Sarana Multigriya Finansial (Persero).
Through this new scheme, he hopes that with the permanent allocation of the APBN, the government can provide housing subsidies assistance to more people.
"We have had a meeting 9 times (related to the new FLPP scheme with partners). The goal is only one, it could not be with the existing funds, we made a new formula, so that the beneficiary, namely the recipient of subsidized houses, will increase," he said.
Maruarar targets that the new scheme can be launched next month.
"I will try my best next month, (now) we (center) are looking for a meeting point so that we can launch this program," he said.
In addition to the implementation of the FLPP program, he ensured that the implementation of the Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance (BSPS) program would also continue even though the Ministry of PKP's budget was affected by the efficiency of the APBN by cutting it by Rp3.66 trillion.

Maruarar said that the program was maintained because it had a direct impact in helping people to own decent houses. It has also conducted a survey in a number of locations for the implementation of the BSPS program.
"So, I see that I have reviewed the BSPS program, it is very good, very useful, yes, for house renovations," he said.
