GIS Supports The Ministry Of SOEs To Realize President Prabowo's Economic Independence Vision To Bring MSMEs Up To Class
JAKARTA - The Ministry of SOEs has again shown its commitment to encouraging the improvement of the competence of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. This is in line with President Prabowo's vision to realize an independent and sustainable economy. The Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir, emphasized the importance of training and developing skills as a strategic step to strengthen the competitiveness of MSMEs at the national and global levels.
The 'UMKM Up Class' training activity held in Semarang City is part of the Ministry of SOEs' efforts to encourage the transformation of MSMEs, and follow-up to the launch of the Naksir UMKM application which has succeeded in collecting data on the potential of MSMEs nationally.
This application is designed to facilitate the management and development of MSMEs, help business actors increase business efficiency, expand market reach, and respond to market trends more quickly. In addition, Naksir UMKM also makes it easier for stakeholders to monitor the progress of MSMEs and build collaboration between business actors.
Over the past five years, we have met with thousands of MSMEs, organized various exhibitions, and provided training in various regions. From this experience, we realize that the first step to help MSMEs advance to class is to understand at what level they are. Therefore, we developed an UMKM Naksir application to identify strengths and areas that need to be improved," said Arya Sinulingga, Special Staff to the Minister of SOEs, in his remarks at the event.
The training, which was held at the Grasia Convention Semarang, was attended by 130 MSME actors assisted by BUMN Houses and 30 Central Java facilitators. This activity is a clear proof of the commitment of the Ministry of SOEs in providing concrete support to MSMEs, especially in the regions.
"Currently, our focus is on developing training programs specifically designed to help MSMEs advance to class. These trainings cover various aspects, ranging from financial management, digital marketing, to business expansion strategies," Arya explained.
As a company that has a strong commitment to carrying out sustainable business practices based on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) pillars, PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) supports the SOE Ministry's initiative to realize President Prabowo's independent and sustainable economic vision through the Class Upgrading MSME Training. In this activity, SIG included 3 facilitators and 5 fostered MSMEs engaged in fashion and culinary.
SIG Corporate Secretary, Vita Mahreyni said, the MSME Training activity to Rise Class is in line with the spirit and initiative of GIS to continue to advance MSMEs through a comprehensive and sustainable mentoring program, including MSMEs under the auspices of the SIG BUMN House in Rembang, Central Java. The mentoring program is focused on product development, expansion of market access, and the use of digital technology.
"SIG has given birth to many local entrepreneurs who have successfully developed their business so as to contribute to improving the regional economy and helping the government overcome unemployment by creating jobs. Since operating on August 17, 2020, RB Rembang has succeeded in assisting 495 MSMEs and contributing to absorption of up to 1,869 local workers. RB Rembang also managed to record transactions reaching Rp 4.62 billion during its 4 years of existence," said Vita Mahreyni, in a written statement, Thursday, February 6.
