Make Sure MSMEs Can Still Consume Elpiji 3 Kg, Bahlil Will Form A Special Agency

JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia ensured that groups of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), can still buy 3 kg LPG cylinders at affordable prices.

Bahlil emphasized that the LPG subsidy provided by the government aims to prevent prices in the community from exceeding the price set by the government.

"For my brothers and sisters, we still have to give them. So later we will also make the rules of the game. Indeed, they are given different from ordinary household consumption. Because surely they want to sell meatballs, want to sell fried noodles, want to sell fried bananas, or fried. We have to do different things. And I support MSMEs to be given differently from ordinary people," said Bahlil, quoted on Thursday, February 6.

As a supervisory measure, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources plans to form a special agency to oversee the distribution and distribution of 3 kg LPG, as has been done for fuel oil (BBM) subsidies.

"We are honest from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources who was given the task to Pertamina Patra Niaga, this is now coordinating. I will form a special agency to organize, so that people can really get the right, affordable price, in accordance with the government," explained Bahlil.

As a follow-up to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, regarding the return of sales of 3 kg LPG cylinders in retailers, Bahlil found prices at one of the 3 Kg LPG bases in Pekanbaru in accordance with government regulations.

Bahlil explained that the retail policy was not canceled, but was reorganized by increasing the status of retailers to sub bases. This step is intended so that transactions can be controlled through a digital system that has been prepared by PT Pertamina (Persero).

"With the dilution rising to sub-base, the application will be entered. So that we know who he sells to, how much does it cost, so that there is no markup and it is also sold to adulterators. That's what it means," he explained.

The government is committed to ensuring that the distribution of 3 kg LPG continues to run well and the selling price remains under control.

"The price remains in line," concluded Bahlil.
