Often In And Out Of Prison, Addicts Of Methamphetamine Are Arrested Again After Stealing Gas Cylinders In Petamburan
JAKARTA - A man with the initials M (38) committed the theft of gas cylinders at a resident's house in the South Tanjung Duren area, Grogol Petamburan District, West Jakarta.
The perpetrators launched an act of theft in the midst of heavy rains that flushed the area. With an umbrella, the perpetrator entered a resident's house and stole three units of 3 kilograms of subsidized gas cylinders for the poor.
In the CCTV footage, the perpetrator can be seen calmly stalking the victim's house before finally taking the gas cylinder away.
After the incident, the gas cylinder was immediately sold to used goods stalls. However, the perpetrator did not move when he was arrested by the police less than 24 hours after his action.
"From the CCTV footage, residents immediately recognized the perpetrator because he lived in the same neighborhood," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Grogol Petamburan Police, AKP Aprino Tamara, Thursday, January 24.
During the examination, the perpetrator was a recidivist in a similar theft case. In fact, perpetrator M has been recorded four times in and out of prison.

Apart from being involved in the theft, the perpetrator was also caught in a case of abuse. Not only that, the test results showed that the perpetrator was positive for taking methamphetamine.
"The person concerned has gone back and forth to prison four times. The latest case also adds to his criminal record," he said.
The perpetrator, who is unemployed, admitted that he was forced to commit the theft because of the pressure on economic needs. However, for the actions of the perpetrators, local residents began to get restless.
For his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code concerning theft with a weight with a maximum penalty of five years in prison.
"Hopefully this will be a lesson for the person concerned. We also urge residents to increase their vigilance and report suspicious things," he said.
