Bulog Gandeng TNI And KTNA Optimize Rice And Grain Absorption

JAKARTA - Perum Bulog cooperates with the TNI and contacts of Mainstay Fisherman Farmers Farmers (KTNA) to optimize rice and grain absorption in order to maintain national food security.

Deputy President Director of Perum Bulog, Major General TNI (Ret.) Dr. Marga Taufiq, in his statement in Surabaya, Thursday, January 23, said that his party was strengthening the synergy with the TNI AD Kodam V Brawijaya in an effort to optimize the absorption of rice and unhulled rice.

"We hope to accelerate the process of absorbing farmers' crops so that Government Rice Reserves (CBP) are well maintained, as well as creating food stability that is profitable for the community," he said, as reported by Antara.

One of the first steps to optimize the absorption, Perum Bulog conducted socialization about the procurement of grain and domestic rice for 2025 at the Graha Sativa Building of Bulog Regional Office of East Java, Surabaya.

He said this activity aims to convey important information regarding the purchase of harvested dry unhulled rice (GKP) at the farmer level, which is Rp. 6,500/kg with a maximum water level of 25 percent and a maximum vacuum level of 10 percent as decided by the Head of the National Food Agency.

"This decision regulates changes in Government Purchase Prices (HPP) and grain prices, as well as domestic rice, which are expected to provide a better price for farmers," he said.

Pangdam V/Brawijaya, Major General Rudy Saladin welcomed the involvement of the Indonesian Army for the program and stated that he was ready to support the implementation of the 2025 procurement of grain and rice to support the food self-sufficiency program.

"Especially the rice launched by the central government," he said.

Deputy Territorial Assistant to the Army Chief of Staff, Brigadier General Heri Susanto, said the Indonesian Army had been actively involved in assisting farmers to improve the quality and quantity of rice production.

"We hope that through this activity, Perum Bulog can absorb farmers' crops optimally and make it a government food reserve that can guarantee national food security," he said.

This socialization also introduces various important programs such as Rumah Pangan Kita (RPK) and the Mitra Tani Program, which aims to facilitate farmers in selling their agricultural products at a reasonable price.

With changes to HPP which is more profitable for farmers, Bulog and TNI, it is hoped that rice production in Indonesia in 2025 will increase, both in terms of quantity and quality.

This is expected to have a positive impact on the welfare of farmers while strengthening national food security.
