Deputy Chairperson Of The DKI DPRD Proposes 1 Day Of Program To Be A Member Of The Council For School Children

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Wibi Andrino, proposed a one-day program to become a member of the DPRD for school students.

Wibi assessed that the program proposed to the DKI Jakarta Education Office was one of the breakthroughs in improving the experience of students

"We ask the Education Office to be more creative in making school activities. Especially at the junior high and high school levels," Wibi said on Thursday, January 23.

The chairman of the DKI Jakarta NasDem Party DPD views that one day's experience as a member of the legislature can build political awareness since school.

Wibi hopes that through this programm, students can find out the process of the birth of a policy, as well as know the duties and functions of council members.

Because, according to him, the visits of school students to the DKI Jakarta DPRD building so far have only been limited to the introduction of the office of council members and a brief explanation of the legislative function.

They can play a role for one day as members of the DPRD. So there is one simulation of how a policy process was born in the DPRD. So, it's not just looking at the DPRD building," explained Wibi.

According to him, basic education about politics is very important to instill in young people as a provision to be the successor to the nation.

"Because political awareness must start from now on, in the future their fate after graduating depends on political policy, they must be politically literate," he added.
