Murder Case In Gambir, Police Arrest Victim's Brother-in-law

The police have uncovered the murder case of RKY (46) who was found dead with stab wounds in the Duri Pulo area, Gambir, Central Jakarta. The perpetrator with the initials U, who is the brother-in-law of the victim.

"Brother U is the brother-in-law of the victim and it hasn't been long since U was arrested by colleagues from the Raesmob Sub-Directorate of the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi to reporters, Wednesday, January 22.

After being arrested, the perpetrator with the initials U underwent an intensive examination. Based on the evidence, the victim's brother-in-law was named a suspect.

"Currently, Brother U has been named a suspect, and the investigation process at Resmob is still ongoing," he said.

Regarding the chronology of the incident, Ade said referring to the testimony of witnesses, the stabbing that led to the death of RKY (42) began with a quarrel between the suspect and the victim on Tuesday, January 21, at around 19.30.

However, the cause of the feud between the two is still being investigated.

"When the witness wanted to meet with the authorities to deliver food, the witness saw the victim fighting with his brother-in-law named brother U," said Ade.

In that fight, the suspect took out a knife which was then stabbed at the victim. Next, suspect U immediately fled.

The witness who saw the incident immediately contacted the victim's wife and child and helped the victim. However, RKY's life could not be helped until he died.

"The witness also heard the victim talking if the victim was stabbed by U's brother," said Ade.
