10 Workers Injured Due To Burned Meetana Gas In Polish Mine
JAKARTA - Workers were evacuated from mines in southern Poland after methane caught fire, the JSW operator said.
Operations to evacuate workers from the area are ongoing, said JSW regarding the incident at the Knurow-Szczyglowice Coal mine Ruch Szczyglowice reported by Reuters, Wednesday, January 22.
About 44 people were in an area where gas burned, 10 of whom were injured, Aleksander Chowaniec, deputy head of the State Mining Authority, told state-run TVP Info television.
He said the victim suffered burns, but the severity of the wound is not yet known. Local media reported that the air mbuls was sent to the scene.
