JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Central Indonesian Transportation Community Area Empowerment and Development (MTI) Djoko Setijowarno assessed that train services have currently experienced a significant increase.
"The current train service is much better, the journey is also faster so that timeliness becomes superior," said Djoko, quoted by Antara, Friday, January 17.
The train is not only an effective means of transportation, but also provides an interesting travel experience, especially for tourists. According to the transportation observer, certain routes such as the Jakarta-Bandung route and the southern region of Java, offer beautiful views that make the journey even more memorable.
"For those who like to travel, the view on the Jakarta-Bandung route or vice versa or Jakarta to the south is more interesting, compared to Pantura," he explained.
Djoko also highlighted the flexibility of services on trains. There are several facilities on trains that allow passengers to relax and can even hold meetings during travel. So that long trips such as 5-6 hours no longer feel boring.
As a form of innovation, Djoko also suggested that PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) develop a tour route around Java by train. Like a cruise ship, where passengers can get off in big cities to enjoy tourism for a few days and then continue their journey by special train.
