Couples Distribute Methamphetamine In Mukomuko Arrested, Transaction Locations Often In Palm Oil Plantations

BENGKULU - Police arrested a husband and wife with the initials TS and VP suspected of distributing and abusing methamphetamine in Mukomuko, Bengkulu Province.

"These two perpetrators claimed to be a married married couple, betel. Both were arrested in a rented house in Pulai Payung Village, Ipuh District by South Mukomuko Police personnel," said Head of the Mukomuko Police Narcotics Unit AKP SMO Aritonang in a press statement, Friday, January 17, quoted by Antara.

The arrest of two perpetrators of TS (44), a resident of Sibak Village and VP (37) a resident of Pulau Makmur Village, Ipuh District, was the result of the development of a case of drug abuse of methamphetamine with the suspect with the initials SE (25) who was arrested a week earlier.

Evidence confiscated from suspect SE as many as 1 bottle of packaged plastic drink brand Le Mineral in which there is 1 white tissue wrapped in 8 packages of crystal methamphetamine.

The suspected drug dealer with the initials SE (25) has often made oil palm plantations located on the border of Sibak Village with Rentak Mudik Village as transaction locations.

Meanwhile, the drug evidence that was successfully secured from this married couple was 20 packages ready for distribution of methamphetamine, or more than the amount of evidence in the previous case.

He said that the suspect was an inter-provincial network, in which he obtained methamphetamine from someone who lives in West Sumatra Province.

Furthermore, his party is still developing to find out the identity of other methamphetamine dealers, both domiciled in this area and outside the region.

According to him, the success of this personnel is a form of concern for the people of Mukomuko Regency to provide information to the police in their area.

He said the drug dealer was charged with Article 114 paragraph (1) subsidiary Article 112 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (1) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, with a minimum penalty of 5 years and a maximum of 20 years in prison.
