Receiving UNIFIL Troops Visits In Lebanon, KRI Crew Diponegoro Discusses Sea Defense

JAKARTA - The ranks of the KRI Diponegoro-365 received an honorary visit from the UNIFIL Force Commander/Head Of Mission (FC/HOM), LTG Aroldo Lryptaro Sryptez, who is a Spanish national at Pier No. 4 Beirut, Lebanon on Wednesday 15 January.

Based on the official TNI AL press release quoted by Antara, it was explained that the receipt was made when KRI Diponegoro was still carrying out his duties as the XXVIII-O/UNIFIL TNI Maritime Task Force Task Force Task Force.

The visit was carried out by Aroldo and his staff in order to thank the Maritime Task Force Task Force of the Indonesian Armed Forces XXVIII-O/UNIFIL for being involved in the peace mission in Lebanon for the past year.

According to Aroldo, the TNI's performance has met UNIFIL's expected expectations and has done a lot in carrying out peace missions in Lebanon.

Dansatgas Maritime Task Force TNI Konga XXVIII-O/UNIFIL Lt. Col. Laut (P) Wiratstyo Haprabu as the party receiving the visit appreciated the good faith of Aroldo and his staff.

"This meeting is also an excellent opportunity to discuss, exchange experiences and information related to coordination, cooperation, obstacles and opportunities between UNIFIL HQ, MTF Staff and elements that carry out on-tasks at sea, especially for KRI Sultan Iskandar Muda-367 who will soon replace KRI Diponegoro-365," said Wiratyo.

During the visit to KRI, both parties did many things including the introduction of ships, met with the KRI ranks and discussed cooperation in sea defense.

Wirastyo hopes that this activity can strengthen military relations between Indonesia and other major countries.

In addition, this military visit is expected to strengthen diplomatic relations between other countries to realize Indonesia as the world's maritime axis.
