How Jake Paul Became A Billionaire: From YouTube To Investing Bitcoin

JAKARTA - Jake Paul successfully defeated Ben Askren in the first round in a battle that was held at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, America on Saturday night. The YouTuber is now pocketing a lot of money.

Based on information from the Georgia Athletes and Entertainment Commission, Paul received a fee of USD 690 thousand or approximately IDR 10 billion. Meanwhile, Askren received a payment of USD 500 thousand (IDR 7.2 billion).

It is not uncommon for Paul to see his bank balance continue to move up. However, after the third fight in his boxing career, the money started flowing again.

The name Paul, first became famous with his brother Logan on the social media platform Vine in September 2013, when he was 16 years old.

By the time the platform closed, Jake had garnered more than 5.1 million followers on the app, and his videos had been played 2 billion times.

He then focused on YouTube and created a vlog channel, which to date has more than 20 million subscribers and 6.6 billion views.

Paul and Logan who grew up in Cleveland then moved to Los Angeles where they built status and wealth.

Paul then jumped into the world of acting playing the character Dirk Mann on the Disney Channel television show "Bizaardvark".

In 2017, he created the entertainment collaboration Team 10, guiding influencers through their careers.

Even though Paul still owns a portion of his investment in Bitcoin, he invested in his entire Vine brand deal when it was worth 100 dollars. After 8 years of storage, now the value is 46.000 dollars.

Paul has released many songs over the years although now seems to be starting to build a career in the ring.

He beat fellow YouTube star AnEsonGib in January 2020 before stopping former NBA champion Nate Robinson later that year.

Paul admits that money was his motivation to get into boxing: “In the end, I've always been an entrepreneur. There is no money like boxing money".

"This cool. In the end, this is big business", he continued.

As of January 2021, Paul's net worth is USD 19 million (IDR 274.8 billion).
