Aggressive! Bahlil Targets 900,000. Barrel Oil Lifting In 2029
JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia targets oil lifting in 2029 to be 900,000 barrels of oil per day. In fact, to date, Indonesia's lifting has only reached 596,381 BOPD or lower than the target of 605,000 BOPD.
"God willing, we will target that by 2029 we will be better. Our draft is approximately 800-90,000 BOPD," Bahlil told the media crew, Thursday, January 16.
To accelerate the achievement of this lifting target, Bahlil said there needed to be massive exploration. He also ensured that there would be an oil and gas auction (WK) in the next few years.
Bahlil said, at least 60 oil and gas WKs will be tendered until 2027.
"Oh yes, we tendered (60 WK oil and gas)," added Bahlil.
Bahlil also asked the new Director General of Oil and Gas, Achmad Muchtasyar, to coordinate with the Head of SKK Migas, Djoko Siswanto regarding efforts to increase oil lifting which is still low.
