Vitamin D Intake To Enough Sleep, Simple Ways To Take Care Of Body Health In The Rainy Season
JAKARTA - The rainy season often carries the risk of decreased endurance due to changes in temperature and exposure to infections. Maintaining the health of the body is a priority to avoid various diseases that often appear this season.
One effective way is to ensure that the body remains fit with a balanced diet, adequate rest, and adequate fluid intake.
Clinical nutrition specialist Dr. dr. A Yasmin Syauri, M.Sc., Sp.GK(K), from the Central General Hospital Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar, emphasized the importance of meeting the nutritional needs of carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, and minerals during the rainy season as well as during weather changes.
"Sufficient fluid needs, adequate rest, and maintaining a diet to help the body stay healthy in uncertain weather conditions," said Dr. Yasmin as quoted by ANTARA.
The lecturer at the Department of Nutrition at the Faculty of Medicine, Hassanudin University, explained that irregular diets, inadequate nutritional needs, and lack of rest can cause a decrease in endurance.

"We must maintain a more diet, sleep, and rest. Especially for those who are not young anymore, it is important to rest more and pay attention to nutritional intake," he added.
Dr. Yasmin also suggested meeting the needs of vitamin D, which plays an important role in maintaining the immune system. The daily recommended dose of vitamin D is at least 1,000 IU, and for those who are doing a lot of outdoor activities, it is recommended to consume more than 1,000 IU per day.
"Vitamin D can be obtained from foods such as fatty animal protein, milk, fish, and meat," he said.
In addition, foods that can help warm the body, such as soup or spice dishes, are also good for consumption during cold weather. These dishes not only provide comfort but also help keep the body's temperature stable in the midst of cold air.
With these simple steps, the body can stay healthy and fit even though the weather often changes.
