Switzerland Ready To Host President Putin And Donald Trump's Meeting On Ukraine

JAKARTA - Switzerland is ready to host a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President-elect Donald Trump to discuss resolving the Ukraine conflict, if the request arises, the Swiss Le Tamps daily report on Sunday.

"After the summit of Burgenstock, Ukraine, Russia, and the United States were periodically notified of our readiness to support any diplomatic efforts regarding the settlement of peace," the Swiss daily report quoted Nicolas Bideau, a spokesman for the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as reported by TASS on January 13.

The daily added that Swiss authorities would not take initiatives on this matter.

According to Le Temps, the confederation is only one of the countries on the list that is ready to host the meeting of the leaders of Russia and the US.

On January 10, US President-elect Donald Trump announced preparations for a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to the Republican politician, it is necessary to end the Ukraine conflict.

Meanwhile, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russian President Vladimir was ready to meet Trump without any preconditions.

It is known that the Burgenstock Forum initiated by Kyiv on Ukraine was held in Burgenstock, Switzerland on June 15-16, 2024. Armenia, Bahrain, Brazil, Colombia, Holy Tahta, India, india, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Mexico, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates did not sign communication at the summit.

Russia was not invited. Most of the UN delegates were also not present.
