The Case Of Aipda J, A Member Of The Semarang Genuk Police, A Regulator Of The Cockfighting Gambling, Was Transferred To The Kejari

The case of police member Aipda J allegedly controlling cockfighting gambling has been transferred to the District Attorney's Office (Kejari) Semarang City, Central Java.

"This gambling practice has been running for about six months before it was finally dismantled by the police," he said in Semarang, Thursday, January 9, which was confiscated by Antara.

Together with the suspect, he continued, eight chickens were also transferred, Rp. 14 million in cash, as well as devices used for cockfighting.

He said the cockfighting gambling turnover reached Rp. 2 million in each of its implementation.

He explained that the suspect received income from spectators who paid Rp. 10,000 and a commission of 10 percent from each winning chicken owner

Apart from J, another suspect who is a civilian with the initials FN was also transferred to the prosecutor's office.

FN itself, he said, played a role as a match recorder.

In the files that were handed over, he continued, it was known that there were still 6 other perpetrators who were hunted by the role of the organizing committee for cockfighting gambling.

The suspects in that case were charged with Article 303 of the Criminal Code concerning gambling.

The cockfighting gambling involving the police officers itself was dismantled by the Semarang Police in October 2024.
