Germany Highlights Trump's Intention To Annex Greenland-Canada, Reminds Borders Not To Be Moved Forced

JAKARTA - Germany highlighted US President-elect Donald Trump's remarks about Greenland and Canada. Germany insists it adheres to international principles, the border should not be forcibly moved.

"As usual, the honorable principle of the UN Charter and the Helsinki Agreement applies, namely that the border should not be forcibly moved," a spokesman for the German government said at a regular press conference reported by Reuters on Wednesday, January 8.

The spokesman declined to comment when asked how serious Germany was in response to Trump's statement.

Trump on Tuesday refused to rule out the use of military or economic action to pursue the acquisition of the Panama and Greenland Canal and also made the idea of turning Canada into a US state.
