Google Predicts Four AI Trends In The Retail Industry By 2025
JAKARTA - Google revealed how AI technology is deeply integrated into the core of retail business operations and then developed on a large scale throughout the company's system, by 2025.
According to Managing Director, Southeast Asia, Google Cloud, Mark Micallef, a generating AI will help retailers overcome challenges such as rising costs, supply chain instability, price pressure, and high employee change.
To that end, Micallef revealed four main trends that will form AI adoption in the retail sector, including:
Multimodal AI
With Multimodal AI, retailers are able to analyze unstructured data such as product descriptions, images, and customer reviews to optimize inventory and marketing.
So as to provide retailers with the ability to extract information that can be followed up from the data and encourage efficiency and will ultimately affect the net profit obtained.
Intuitive Search
The ability to trace intuitives supported by AI is generative to transform the way customers find products, both online and in physical stores.
Thus, customers can find products through conversational interfaces that are similar to human interaction, both in online and physical stores.
