JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta National Narcotics Agency (BNN) has prevented the abuse and illicit trafficking of narcotics by visitors at the South Jakarta nightclub.

"We will continue to be committed to making DKI Jakarta clean of drugs," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial BNN Nurhadi Yuwono, ANTARA, Friday, December 20.

Nurhadi said this monitoring was an acceleration of prevention, eradication of drug abuse and illicit trafficking in South Jakarta.

Monitoring targets were carried out at the night entertainment venues initials MJ (Senopati), WR (Gatot Subroto) and R (SCBD) on Thursday night, December 19.

By involving officers from Class 1 Immigration Special for Non-TPI South Jakarta, officers from the South Jakarta City Civil Service Police Unit and officers from K9 BNN RI.

The head of the South Jakarta City BNN, Bambang Yudistira, said that early monitoring and detection of the South Jakarta City nightclub was also carried out by urine tests.

"The urine test is carried out using the 'random sampling' method by randomly taking the urine of visitors with a total urine sample of 52 people with negative results," said Bambang.

Then, there was also an inspection of employee lockers, checking documents related to foreign national visitors (WNA) by Immigration officers and checking business permits by officers.

The results show that no drug use has been detected. However, his party still urges the public to be vigilant by daring to refuse, daring to report and dare to rehabilitate if indications of drug abuse are found.

BNN always strives to increase public awareness about the dangers of drug abuse that have a bad impact on physical and mental.

Therefore, he added, similar activities will be carried out to all nightclubs in DKI Jakarta.

This monitoring is part of an effort to support the 7th Asta Cita program for the President of the Republic of Indonesia in strengthening the Prevention and Eradication of Drugs.
