Prabowo And El-Sisi Suggest Egypt-Indonesia To Arrange Defense Cooperation Agreements
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in their second meeting at the Al Ittihadiya Presidential Palace, Cairo, proposed that two countries immediately form a defense cooperation agreement (DCA).
Prabowo explained that the existence of DCA allows two countries to work together to improve their capabilities and capacity, including in strengthening the defense industry.
"In the defense sector, we propose immediately the defense cooperation between Egypt and Indonesia. I think the capabilities that we can learn and exchange in the fields of industry and defense technology," Prabowo said when delivering a joint statement with President El-Sisi after the meeting at the Al Ittihadiya Presidential Palace, Cairo, reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 18.
Prabowo continued that the existence of DCA also allowed two countries to exchange defense experts. Defense experts from Indonesia and Egypt can sit together to share knowledge and experiences.
At the Egyptian Presidential Palace, Prabowo's arrival was greeted with a ceremony to welcome the state by the honorary forces. During the procession, the national anthem of the two countries was also played.

President El-Sisi welcomed President Prabowo's arrival at the Al Ittihadiya Palace. The two leaders of the country shook hands and jointly followed the welcoming procession.
After that, President Prabowo and President El-Sisi entered the Palace and took a photo together. The two then introduced delegations to each country.
After introducing each other's delegates, Prabowo and El-Sisi continued to hold a one-on-one meeting, then two leaders and their delegation continued to attend bilateral meetings.
The series of state visits at the Al Ittihadiya Palace were closed with a joint press statement delivered alternately by President El-Sisi and Prabowo Subianto, then the two leaders and all delegates joined the lunch banquet.
