Lanny Jaya Police Member Dies Attacked By OTK, HS Type Pistol Taken Away

Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Benny Ady Prabowo, said Brigadier Tri Yudha Argadianto, a member of the Lanny Jaya Police, died at the Tiom Hospital, Lanny Jaya Regency, Papua Mountains. Tri was one of the victims of the attack on an unknown person Thursday morning at around 01.00 WIT.

Tri Yudha Argadianto died from the injuries he suffered, while his colleague Aiptu Hidayat was in stable condition.

"In addition to the two members of the Lanny Jaya Police, OTK who also carried out the shooting resulted in a civilian, namely Bastam (43) being injured," said Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo, to ANTARA in Jayapura, Antara, Thursday, December 12.

He explained that the attack incident by OTK occurred Wednesday in Yokibak Village, Nogi District, Lanny Jaya Regency. OTK also had time to take away the organic Police gun that was brought by the deceased.

"The HS type pistol which is an organic Polri was taken away by OTK," said Kombes Pol. Benny Ady Prabowo.

When asked whether the perpetrator was a member of an armed criminal group (KKB), the Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police admitted that he could not confirm it.

"Members are still investigating the attack case," he said.
