Slovak PM: Nord Stream Network Explosion Terrorist Attack Involves Professional Military

JAKARTA - Slovak Prime Minister (PM) Robert Fico assessed that the explosion of the Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipelines was a terrorist attack involving professional military personnel.

Nord Stream 1 and 2 are two separate natural gas pipeline projects that span under the Baltic Sea from Russia to Germany.

"This is clearly a terrorist sabotage operation, which definitely involves the most professional military unit," Fico said in a program on national public broadcaster STV, Sunday, December 8, quoted from Tass.

Fico said the explosion of Nord Stream 1 and 2 raised questions about whether there was greater intention than the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

He also mentioned the latest findings from footage of a drone about a group of individuals being in Druzhba's oil pipeline recently.

Fico is known to have been the victim of a shooting in mid-2024. He was shot four times in close proximity while greeting his supporters at a meeting in Central Slovakia's Handlova City in May.

The shooter, Juraj C, 71, has been arrested and served a sentence for dajwaan's attempted premeditated murder.
