Prabowo Affirms Gerindra Is Open To Jokowi Who Was Kicked Out By PDIP

Gerindra is said to be very open if former President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) wants to join after being expelled by the PDI-P.

The statement was made by the President and General Chair of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, after having dinner with Jokowi at his residence in Kertanegara, South Jakarta.

"Oh, if Gerindra is open, it's open," Prabowo told reporters, Friday, December 6.

However, Prabowo said he could not force Jokowi to join Gerindra. This is because all decisions are with the 7th President of Indonesia.

"But of course we can't force it," said Prabowo.

For information, Jokowi and his family such as the Vice President of the Period, Gibran Rakabuming Raka; and former Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution are no longer part of the PDIP.

This was conveyed openly by the Secretary General of the PDIP DPP Hasto Kristiyanto on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.

"I reiterate that Mr. Jokowi and his family are no longer part of the PDI-P," said Hasto.
