2 Indonesian Workers Died After Crane Who Was Riding Fell From The 7th Floor Of A Building In Malaysia
JAKARTA - Two Indonesian workers died when the crane that was climbed fell from the seventh floor of one of the buildings in District 8, Putrajaya, Malaysia, Thursday morning, December 5.
The two victims who died were identified as Sukawan Wilkhan, 54, and Danianto Yusak, 53. Meanwhile, his colleague, Yasin, 56, was seriously injured.
"Initial investigations revealed that the accident was caused by a crane hydraulic jack that sank to the ground, causing the crane to lose its balance and collapse," said Putrajaya jurisprudence police chief Aidi Sham Mohamed when contacted, Thursday, December 5, quoted by Bernama.
The three workers from Indonesia were in a crane box about to congeste buildings in the area where the incident occurred.
A firefighter who was not on duty at the scene was said to have provided assistance, including pulmonary heart resuscitation (CPR), to the victims before the rescue team arrived.
Both the dead and injured have been rushed to the Putrajaya Hospital for post-mortem treatment and examination.

Meanwhile, Director of the Department of Fire and Rescue of the Putrajaya Federal Region Abdul Manaf Che Isa said 15 firefighters and rescue personnel were deployed to the scene after receiving an emergency call at 9.30 am.
Firefighters helped move the victim to an ambulance and a police vehicle, he said.
