Acting Mayor Of Pekanbaru Silenced Upon Arriving At The KPK Building After Being Caught OTT

The Acting Mayor of Pekanbaru, Risnandar Mahhiwa, who was caught in a sting operation (OTT) arrived at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta on Tuesday, December 3. He made no statement.

From field observations, Risnandar arrived in the lobby of the anti-corruption commission building at around 17.39 WIB. He wears a hat and mask to cover his face.

There was no statement conveyed by him who chose to wrap his hands on his chest. Apart from the Risnandar, Pekanbaru Regional Secretary Indra Pomi Nasution was also seen being led by officers.

Just like Risnandar, Indra chose to rush into the building. Upon arrival, the party who was secured in the silent operation will be investigated further.

"It's true, the parties who were detained in Pekanbaru are currently present at the KPK's Red and White Building for further requests for further information," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika to reporters in her statement.

The total number of parties caught in the silent operation became nine people. One person was arrested in Jakarta," he said.

"Eight are brought from Pekanbaru," explained Tessa.

As previously reported, the KPK held a hand arrest operation (OTT) in Pekanbaru, Riau on Monday, December 2. One of the entangled was the Acting Mayor of Pekanbaru, Risnandar Mahiva.

Deputy Chairman of the KPK Alexander Marwata said that money was found during the arrest operation (OTT) that ensnared the Acting Mayor of Pekanbaru, Risnandar Mahawa. The exact amount is still calculated but is estimated at billions of rupiah.

"For the money, it was temporarily delivered over Rp. 1 billion and maybe we know it will develop," Alexander told reporters in the Bali area, Tuesday, December 3.

The alleged fraudulent practice mode that occurred, continued Alexander, was related to the use of fictitious budgets to levies on employees within the Pekanbaru City Government (Pemkot). However, investigations are still being carried out, including to determine the legal status of the arrested party.
