20 TNI/Polri Personnel Deployed In The Aftermath Of The West Papua Bamusbama District Office Burned By OTK
WEST PAPUA - A total of 20 joint personnel from Kodim 1810 Tambrauw and the Tambrauw Police have tightened security for the Bamusbama District after the burning of an unknown person (OTK) against the Bamusbama District Office, West Papua.
Tambrauw Police Chief AKBP Aries Dwi Cahyanto said the Bamusbama District is now safe and conducive. However, the TNI/Polri continued to increase security in anticipation of further action.
"A total of 20 joint TNI/Polri personnel have been alerted at the scene since the Brimob shooting incident and the burning of the Bamusbama District Office," said the Tambrauw Police Chief in Sorong, Tuesday, December 3, as reported by Antara.
The police chief said that the joint TNI/Polri personnel were divided into two teams, namely 10 personnel guarding the scene and 10 others conducting routine patrols throughout the Bamusbama District, especially in several locations that were considered vulnerable.
"So far, there has been no additional movement for increased security in the Bamusbama District, and community activities have returned to normal as usual," said the Tambrauw Police Chief.
Previously, OTK burned and damaged the Bamusbama District Office, on Sunday, December 1 afternoon.
The police are currently investigating the motive behind the incident through an in-depth investigation by the local police investigation team.
