Heating Up, Taiwan's Presidential Visit To The US Responds To The Deployment Of 41 Chinese Fighters And Ships

JAKARTA - Taiwan detected 41 Chinese warplanes and ships around its country ahead of President Lai Ching-te's visit to Hawaii, USA, Friday 29 November.

Citing AFP, the Taiwanese president went to Hawaii part of a state trip to the Pacific region this weekend. This visit also sparked Chinese outrage.

The number of Chinese defense equipment around the announced island of Taiwan has been the highest in the past three weeks.

Taiwan's Ministry of Defense continues to update China's military near its territory.

China is known to insist on Taiwan, which has its own government, part of its territory. However, the claim was rejected by Taiwan.

To confirm its claims, China deploys fighter jets, unmanned aircraft, and warships around Taiwan almost every day. Including sudden deployments and the number of significant increases in recent years.
