Wait For Complete Documents, 7 Bodies Of PMI Accidents In Malaysia Returned Gradually To NTB
JAKARTA - At least 2 of the 7 bodies of Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) who died in a fatal accident in Malaysia were returned to their hometowns in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
Head of the Indonesian Migrant Service and Migrant Workers Protection Agency (BP2MI), NTB Asyib Yulianto, said that the repatriation of PMI's body who died was carried out in stages.
"Currently, only two have been sent home from 7 victims, namely Suandi Putra Kedaro from Central Lombok and Ridwan from West Lombok," he said in Central Lombok, Thursday, November 28, which was confiscated by Antara.
He said this gradual repatriation was carried out considering that the administrative document process which had not yet been completed was carried out on the victims.
"The representative of the Indonesian government in East Malaysia informed that PMI's body was repatriated gradually," he said.

Furthermore, three other victims, consisting of two other victims from Central Lombok, namely Agus Muliadi and Sarapuddin, residents of Lendang Kekeh Hamlet, Tampak Siring Village, Batukliang District, and one from East Lombok.
"This gradual repeat is because we are waiting for the process from the Indonesian Consulate General's Office, maybe it cannot be done directly because there are things that must be prepared such as documents or others," he said.
"If there is a delay, we cannot simultaneously return home once, we also apologize but the government is obliged to assist and facilitate the repatriation of the bodies," he said.
He said of the seven victims, five people had been confirmed to be repatriated, namely on Thursday, November 28, there were two bodies. Furthermore, on Friday, November 29, three bodies. Meanwhile, the other two bodies are still waiting for information.
"For the repatriation fee, his party ensures that everything is borne by the government," he said.
The PMI's body was sent from East Malaysia to Pontianak by air, then from Pontianak Baru to Jakarta and arrived at Lombok International Airport, after which it was just taken to the funeral home by ambulance.
