This Is The PKS' Response After Its Champions Fell In The Jakarta And Depok Regional Head Elections
JAKARTA - The chairman of the PKS DPP, Mardani Ali Sera, responded to the question of his champion in the Jakarta gubernatorial election and the Depok Pilwakot falling in the quick count or quick count of the 2024 Pilkada. PKS is known to have won the 2024 Jakarta Legislative Election and became a political party in power in Depok for 20 years.
According to Mardani, voter participation in the 2024 Pilkada is very small, thus affecting the votes of the cagub-cawagub pair promoted by PKS.
"The first is for the DKI Regional Head Election, I tweeted 'Wow, the Jakarta Regional Head Election'. Wow, that's like this, the participation rate is small at 60 percent, this is a long time in Jakarta," said Mardani, Thursday, November 28.
For that reason, Mardani hopes that the Jakarta gubernatorial election can take place in two rounds. So that all Jakarta residents can exercise their voting rights in the second round later.
"Secondly, I personally hope for two rounds. I personally. Because I'm not satisfied, the figure is 40 percent, 49 in a coma," he said.
"But if it's one round, it must be respected. Because it is the decision of the citizens of Jakarta," continued the Jakarta electoral district legislator.
Meanwhile, for the Depok Pilkada which won the Supian Suri-Chandra Rahmansyah pair, Mardani did not want to comment much. Because according to him, Supian Suri, who is the Regional Secretary of Depok City, has been quite close to PKS, especially the Mayor of Depok M. Idris.
Nevertheless, Mardani respects the decision of the Depok residents who did not vote for the candidate promoted by his party, Imam Budi Hartono-Ririn Farabi Arafiq.
"Regarding Depok, Depok is actually an old man who is close to us. It's actually close to the Mayor of Idris, I've said that I can be careful two feet, right. But I don't take care of Depok. So if it's for me, I still respect Depok residents' decisions," he said.
According to Mardani, change is something that is certain. "If PKS doesn't meet the criteria, so be it. For us it's easy, get up again, go again, offer the best again. Because we don't have a high competition in Depok. This is just where beauty content contestation is able to make people like it, go on, we are optimistic," he concluded.
