Dongker Music Innovation Discussed At DCDC Music Court

JAKARTA - The 60th edition of the Music Court presented Dongker as a defendant. The band consisting of Delpi Suhariyanto (guitar, vocals), Arno Zarror (guitar, vocals), Bilal Ahmad (bass), and Dzikrie Juliogian (drums) received the spotlight on their musical track record and their first full album, Ceriwis Necis.

The Music Court, which was held at The Park Jabar VOC Inlander Koffiehuis, Bandung, last week also presented Baiq and Budi Dalton as prosecutors, Yoga PHB and Rully Cikapundung as defenders, Man Jasa as presiding judges, and Edi Brokoli as clerks.

The punk band from Bandung was held accountable after just completing a concert tour for the 'Ceriwis Necis' album on the islands of Java, Bali, Sumatra, to Malaysia.

Agus Danny Hartono as DCDC Representative said Dongker was one of the bands that consistently released works. Not only music albums, they also launched books as a space for reinterpretation of 17 songs on the album Ceriwis Necis.

"It is undeniable that Dongker is currently one of the bands on the front lines rich in innovation and breakthroughs. Therefore, the DCDC of the Music Court summoned Dongker to be charged and held accountable for a series of works they have worked on and circulated to a wide audience," Danny said in his statement, Wednesday, November 27.

When asked by Budi Dalton about the idea of 'Ceriwis Necis' which was presented in various media, Arno said Dongker wanted to present an anti-mainstream innovation that his fans could enjoy. Not wanting to be half-hearted, the work has even been released in five countries.

We collaborated with 17 writers to interpret 17 songs on the album Ceriwis Necis. The most complicated thing is the coding iteration, because it's not a common thing," said Arno.

We have released this work in Taiwan, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. The song 'Betting on Fire' is arguably a gateway for us to reach listeners widely from the start of releasing the single," he continued.

It doesn't stop there, Dongker is also asked to explain the breakthrough that will be carried out in the near future.

Delpi admitted that he was preparing to release a black plate. They agreed that this would be sacred for musicians to do as a form of graduation and memories.

"At the beginning of 2025, we will release about 300 copies of vinyl with Disaster Records. We consider the release of vinyl to be a diploma for music actors, as well as a memory to be enjoyed later. And indeed it has become our spirit to release works with various mediums," said Delpi.

In the Music Court, Dongker also presented their three best songs, namely 'In Hell', 'God in Reruntuh Kota', and 'Bet On Fire'.
