Police Evaluate Use Of Guns In The Aftermath Of Police Shooting Police Case
The National Police will conduct an evaluation regarding the use of firearms by police personnel as a follow-up to the police shooting police case at the South Solok Resort Police, West Sumatra.
"Regarding future anticipation and evaluation, the team is currently still working. There is team support from the National Police Headquarters, both from the Propam, Itwasum, and Bareskrim Divisions. Everyone will look for data with the support of Kompolnas," said Head of the National Police Public Relations Division Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, Tuesday, November 26.
He said the data and information collected would be used as evaluation material for the National Police regarding the rules for the use of firearms by personnel.
"Later, the results of the evaluation will be submitted. In essence, (use of firearms by personnel, ed) according to standard operating procedures have been carried out, then the implementation is also checked according to procedures," he said.
Previously, on Friday (22/11), there was a shooting case carried out by the Head of Ops of the South Solok Police, AKP Dadang Iskandar, which resulted in the death of his colleague, Head of the South Solok Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Ryanto Ulil Anshar.

For his actions, AKP Dadang Iskandar was charged with Article 340 of the Criminal Code regarding premeditated murder by the West Sumatra Police.
The Director of General Criminal Investigation at the West Sumatra Police, Kombes Andri, at a press conference on Saturday (23/11) said that the murder article was planned to be used after exploring the chronology and statements of witnesses.
In addition, AKP Dadang Iskandar was also charged with another article, namely Article 338 and Article 351 paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code.
Then, on Tuesday, the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) imposed ethical sanctions on AKP Dadang, namely that the behavior of violators was declared a disgraceful act and administrative sanctions in the form of dishonorable dismissal (PTDH) as members of the National Police.
Based on this decision, AKP Dadang did not file an appeal or in other words accepted the verdict.
