Head Of EU Foreign Policy Says Starvation Is Used As A Weapon In Gaza
JAKARTA - The EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell said, "the capability is used as a weapon to fight people left alone in northern Gaza."
"Humanist aid did not reach Gaza, and the United Nations was unable to provide assistance," Borrell was quoted as saying by WAFA November 26, noting the situation in Gaza was worse than in Lebanon, as 250,000 people in northern Gaza suffered alone.
"Why don't we go to the Security Council to raise the issue of humanitarian aid to Gaza?" asked Borrell.
Borrell also called on EU countries to comply with their duties and the International Criminal Court (ICC) decision to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Israeli defense minister Yoav Gallant.
Separately, Gaza's health authorities confirmed on Tuesday that the death toll from the Israeli attacks since October 7, 2023 had risen to 44,249, while injuries increased to 104,746, the majority of victims were women and children.
