There IUP Illegal Practice, Bahlil: The Introductory Letter Of The Body Is Also Entered

JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil lahadalia revealed that there were many violations in the management of Mining Business Permits (IUP) in the Mineral and Coal (Minerba) sectors.

He gave an example, there are many tricks for business actors to smooth out the process of issuing documents illegally.

One of them is the use of fake documents such as a letter of introduction to ID cards and even corpse certificates.

The letter number is sometimes strange. The introduction letter to the ID card or even the corpse delivery letter is included in the letter number IUP. Never mind, it ended up playing this game. I don't want to look back. I want to make a new chapter," said Bahlil in his remarks at the Minerba Expo, Monday, November 25.

To smooth this mode, Bahlil said that he often involves unscrupulous employees of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and even local governments.

For this reason, he asked all stakeholders and business actors to stop all forms of violations to obtain IUP illegally.

In fact, previously when he was still Minister of Investment, he had withdrawn 2078 IUPs.

"By Allah! In this pulpit, that's enough! Don't make any more moves. I beg with respect. I beg with respect," continued Bahlil.

He added that when he withdrew the 2078 IUPs, he was jealous that he would also find many new IUPs that had been reissued.

"I said it was too agile this game. IUP in status was revoked, there was already an IUP that came out. I said this might be a shadow investment minister and a shadow ESDM Minister until this IUP could come out," he added.

After checking, continued Bahlil, he found many forms of violations such as a permit that used the signature of the deceased regional head.

To regulate mining governance, Bahlil continued, his ministry will soon establish a Directorate General of Law Enforcement (Gakkum) which will be led by the TNI or Polri.

"Dirjen Gakkum akan dipimpin kalau tidak Polisi, TNI. Kalau enggak, jaksa," kata dia.

Bahlil said this was intended so that the conflict resolution of the Mining Business Permit (IUP) could be addressed immediately at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. Previously, the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources was led by Bambang Suswantono, who is a retired TNI with the rank of Lieutenant General.

"Try to imagine that Lieutenant General Marines will become Plt. The Director General of Menerba for one year. What does that mean? Because it has been arranged for a long time, I have also dispatched soldiers to arrange it for us to look like it," continued Bahlil.

Bahlil also said that if the business entity and unscrupulous Directorate General of Mineral and Coal could not be regulated, he did not rule out the possibility that he would use the'military style' in carrying out law enforcement at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

"We ask for the support of fellow entrepreneurs, tell them what we need to help. But if there is something that friends think there should be natural input in order to improve, we will always be open to making improvements," said Bahlil.
