Good News For Malang Earthquake Victims, Light/Severe Damaged Houses Can Be Helped, Here's The Details

JAKARTA - Head of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Doni Monardo and Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa review the location of the earthquake in Wirotaman Village, Ampel Gading District, Malang, East Java, Sunday, April 11.

Doni expressed deep sorrow for the people affected by the South Malang Earthquake. BNPB will provide stimulant funds for residents whose homes are damaged with the category of Light Damage (RR) of 10 million, Moderate Damage (RS) of 25 million, and Severe Damage (RB) of 50 million.

To speed up the repair process the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) asked local devices to do data collection and report in accordance with the correct data.

"The houses of residents who are lightly damaged and severely damaged can be repaired by means of the local government to provide proposals to the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) with an accurate name and address," Doni said in an official statement.

Meanwhile, residents who have been severely damaged will be coordinated with the Ministry of Public Works and Housing to speed up the repair process.

Doni also advised residents to remain calm and do not panic. Programs that have been carried out by the municipal or provincial government assisted by the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), Meteorology Climatology and Geophysical Agency (BMKG), National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas), National Army (TNI) - National Police (POLRI) and other joint teams should often be conducted as part of preparedness.
