The panel of judges assessed that the forgery of the letter was detrimental to the complainant, Stepanie, who is the defendant's biological child.
For this reason, the panel of judges in this case sentenced to 1 year and 2 months in prison for the defendant Kusu Lukami.
The panel of judges said that the aggravating thing for the defendant was not admitting his actions and giving complicated information during the trial.
The verdict of the panel of judges was heavier than the demands of the public prosecutor who at the previous trial demanded that the defendant be sentenced to ten months in prison, with a trial period of one year.
The panel of judges stated that they did not agree with the prosecutor's demands for prosecution. The reason is that the trial charges can only be applied if the defendant is sentenced to under five years.
