Asus ROG Phone 9 Series Launched, Equipped With Snapdragon 8 Elite Becomes The Most Advanced Gaming Phone

JAKARTA - Asus officially launched the ROG Phone 9 series which includes the ROG Phone 9 and ROG Phone 9 Pro. This smartphone is specially designed for game fans, by presenting advanced hardware and innovative features for a more maximum gaming experience. Here are the full specifications and prices.

The ASus ROG Phone 9Seri ROG Phone 9 Specification comes with a 6.78-inch AMOLED HDR Full HD + display, supports a refresh rate of up to 165Hz and 185Hz in certain games. The screen offers a peak brightness rate of 2,500 nits, a color coverage of 107% DCI-P3, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for better durability.

For performance, this phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC chipset which offers a CPU performance improvement of up to 45% and a GPU upgrade of up to 40% compared to the previous generation. Combined with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, the series offers configurations of up to 24GB RAM and 1TB of storage, with the AntuTU score reaching 3,121,390.

The Asus Cooler and Accessori System improves the cooling system with a 360-deg SoC Cooling System Gen design, 57% larger graphite sheets, and AeroActive Cooler X Pro which is redesigned with larger fan blades and better cooling materials. This cooler is also equipped with subwoofers for stereo noise 2.1 and shoulder buttons for a more immersive gaming experience.

The ROG Phone 9 Camera and BatterySerry have a triple camera system with a Sony LYTIA 700 50MP main sensor, equipped with 6-ax stabilization. There is an ultra-wide 13MP camera and a 5MP macro sensor on the ROG Phone 9, while the ROG Phone 9 Pro replaces a macro lens with a 32MP 3x telephoto camera with an OIS. Both have a 32MP front camera.

The phone is powered by a 5500mAh battery with 65W fast charging support using HyperCharge technology. Also supports 15W Qi wireless charging and Quick Charge 5.0 and Power Delivery.

This Seri's Connectivity and Feature supports dual SIM, 5G SA/NSA connectivity, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, as well as an in-display fingerprint sensor. Both phones also maintain 3.5mm audio jacks and double stereo speakers, as well as are equipped with IP68 certification for water and dust resistance.

The Anime Vision Display feature at the back provides 85 programmable mini LEDs on the basic model and 648 LEDs on the Pro version, providing a customization look that is attractive to gamers.

The price and availability of the Asus ROG Phone 9 starts from 999.99 US dollars (Rp15.7 million) for models with 12GB RAM + 256GB of storage, while the 12GB + 512GB variant is priced at 1,149 (Rp19.2 million). This phone is available in Storm White and Phantom Black colors.

The ROG Phone 9 Pro, which is only available in Phantom Black color, is priced at 1,199.99 US dollars (Rp20.1 million) for the 16GB + 512GB model. While the premium ROG Phone 9 Pro edition with 24GB RAM and 1TB of storage, including the AeroActive Cooler X Pro, is valued at 1,499.99 US dollars (Rp25 million).

Pre-orders have opened and deliveries begin tomorrow in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China. Deliveries to Europe will take place in December, while launches in the US are scheduled for January 2025. There is no information yet regarding the launch in Indonesia.
