Kemkomdigi Committed To Online Judi Basmi After Employees Become Suspects

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Kemkomdigi) continues to be committed to eradicating online gambling even though several employees have been named suspects.

"Yesterday, 10 people were deactivated and we also continue to add personnel. The point is that we are committed to eradicating online gambling. Recently, someone has been arrested and we support the Police, in this case law enforcement officers, to be as harsh as possible, to completely eradicate online gambling," said Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Angga Raka Prabowo.

Anticipating employees not to be involved in online gambling, Angga will increase the love of the country so as not to commit these crimes.

"We are strengthening inward by raising their commitment to increasing love for the country. I am sure that the commitment of our friends inside is also getting better. We assure them that this is a sacred task, the duty of the state, and they remember that there are families waiting at home. We also hope that it will not happen again," said Angga.

Previously, the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) of the Metro Jaya Police arrested three new suspects in an online gambling case involving employees of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi), Saturday (11/16/2024). They were previously fugitives or on the wanted list (DPO) by the police.

"Alhamdulillah, we have made or succeeded in arresting three DPOs, namely the initials B, BK, and HF," said Director of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Wira Satya Triputra.

Wira said the arrests further increased the number of suspects in the online gambling case involving Komdigi employees to 22 people. He said investigators continued to develop and arrest other suspects. Likewise with additional evidence based on the information provided by the suspect.
