Jokowi Calls A Number Of Pilkada Paslons Supported Need Hard Work
JAKARTA - The 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that a number of candidate pairs (paslon) in the 2024 Pilkada, which he supports, really need hard work to win the people's votes in order to win the political contestation.
Jokowi explained that his presence at a number of meetings with candidate pairs and supporters or volunteers was a form of effort to win the votes of the people, in order to win the regional elections this year.
"In fact, it seems that I have to work hard, I came because I support it, in Central Java I came, I was invited to Jakarta because I support it," Jokowi said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 18.
Jokowi explained that his presence in a number of areas to support is a form of effort to help boost the popularity and electability of supported candidate pairs.
However, he stressed, in the end all results will depend on the choice of the community, so that all you can do is try.
"The sovereignty is in the hands of the people, the people who determine everything are the people, the candidate pairs can only try," said the former Mayor of Solo and the Governor of Jakarta.
Jokowi admitted that he had limitations to directly support a number of other candidate pairs who were fighting in the regional elections.
Therefore, other forms of support for Jokowi also do, such as making videos of statements of support, photos, and others.
Meanwhile, during a visit to Jakarta, Jokowi firmly supported the Jakarta gubernatorial candidate pair number 1 Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (Rido) as governor and deputy governor of Ggubernur Jakarta in the future.
