Officers Secure One Driver Positive For Drugs And Ask To Turn 93 Mining Trucks

TANGERANG - Joint officers turned 93 mining trucks back, took action on a 21-vehicle ticket and secured one driver who tested positive for drugs during three days of monitoring of the activity of the three-axis mining truck on November 14, 2024.

"For three days we have been monitoring, we have turned 93 vehicles around, 21 vehicles have been ticketed and one driver is known to be positive for drugs," said Tangerang City Metro Police Chief Kombes Zain Dwi Nugroho in Tangerang on Sunday.

The activity of mining trucks passing through Tangerang Raya was stopped for six days due to chaos in Kosambi, Tangerang Regency.

Then a joint officer was formed consisting of the police, TNI and Dishub who established eight monitoring posts to ensure that the mining trucks carrying soil, sand and stone were active according to the Perwali and Tangerang Perbup, starting at 22.00 to 05.00 WIB.

Starting November 14, 2024, mining truck activities are again permitted, but with several agreements, namely must be equipped with a driver's license, STNK, KIR, a drug-free certificate from the competent authority and a driver's appointment letter from the company.

"The enforcement of the operating hours for mining vehicles continues to be monitored for 24 hours," said the Police Chief.

The police chief emphasized that the ban on the use of drugs in driving is clearly regulated in Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation. The abuse of illegal drugs and drugs can be prosecuted.

"We will follow up on the misuse of illegal drugs and drugs according to applicable law," he said.

Eight monitoring posts are spread across various points in the jurisdiction of the Tangerang City Metro Police, namely Rawa Bokor in Benda District, Kebon Nanas in Tangerang District.

Then Buaran Indah in Cipondoh District, Suryadharma in Neglasari District, Telesonic in Jatiuwung District, Palem Semi in Jatiuwung District, Cadas in Sepatan District and Bojong Renged in Teluknaga District.

Of the eight monitoring posts, each of the monitoring posts is led by the Control Officer, involving six Tangerang City Metro Police personnel plus members of the TNI, Dishub officers and Satpol PP.
