President Biden Warms Himself Up At The White House, Donald Trump: I Really Appreciate

JAKARTA - The President-elect of the United States appreciated President Joe Biden's incumbent warm welcome when he accepted himself at the White House, Washington DC on Wednesday, something he didn't do when Biden won the 2020 presidential election.

President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden welcomed Trump's arrival at the White House. The two leaders then went side by side to then go to the Oval Room.

Trump appreciated President Biden's acceptance at the White House.

"Politicals are difficult, and in many cases this world isn't very fun, but the world is fun right now, and I really appreciate the smooth transition so it will be as smooth as possible, and I really appreciate that, Joe," Trump, who will take office on January 20, 2025. November 14th.

Presidents Biden and Trump sit side by side in thearing flames in the Oval Room, a peaceful atmosphere that covers tensions between them.

Meanwhile, White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said the meeting lasted about two hours.

"It was a substantive meeting," Jean-Pierre told reporters.

"They discussed issues of national security and important domestic policies faced by the state and the world," he added.

The traditional politeness of welcoming the elected president to the Oval Room is something Trump did not when Biden won in 2020.

The meeting was in stark contrast to criticisms the two men had made over the years. Their teams hold very different positions in various policies, from climate change to Russia to trade.

President Biden said support for Ukraine was in the interests of the United States' national security because a strong and stable Europe would prevent America from being dragged into the war, White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan told reporters.

Trump had previously promised to end the Russia-Ukraine war quickly, although he had not explained how.

Trump told the New York Post he and President Biden "talked a lot about the Middle East" during their conversation.

"I want to know his views on our current position," Trump said.

"And he gave it to me, he was very kind," Trump was quoted as saying by Post.

It is known that Presidential Chief of Staff Biden, Jeff Zients and Trump Chief of Staff, manfaat Wiles, joined the meeting.

"He believes in norms, he believes in our institution, he believes in peaceful transfer of power," a White House spokesman said of President Biden's decision to invite Trump.
