Siteminder: Indonesian Tourists Ready To Collaborate With AI To Plan A Holiday
JAKARTA - Siteminder, the world's leading hotel distribution and revenue platform, has just released the SiteMinder's Changing Traveller Report 2025.
Based on the report, it was found that by 2025, Indonesian tourists will be the ones who do the most research (25%) and order (62%) lodging through online travel agents (OTA).
The sharpest increase in OTA usage can be seen among the population of Gen X Indonesia (age 44-59 years), with 53% planning to book lodging through OTA, increasing from 41%.
In addition, the reports made on 12,000 respondents in 14 major tourism markets, including Indonesia, also reveal the important role of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the tourism sector.
Where this report shows 98% of respondents claim to be open to the use of AI to plan, order, and improve the experience of staying at hotels.
The findings also highlight striking differences in AI openness among countries in Asia and countries such as Canada and Australia (62% each), as well as Germany, France, and the UK (63% each).
