Google Launches Learn About, AI-Based Experimental Education Chatbot

JAKARTA Google launched a new chatbot similar to Gemini and ChatGPT, but with different functions. The tool, named Learn About, was created specifically for educational needs.

Learn About was built using the LearnML Artificial Intelligence (AI) model which is trained using research and educational materials. That way, this chatbot can provide interactive learning according to the way the user learns.

On the official Learn About website, Google says that this tool can help its users in, "completing new topics and deepening understanding." Users can learn any knowledge taken from educational sites in several countries.

For example, when a user asks for a universe diagram, Learn About will retrieve data from the Physics Forum site. After providing an explanation, this new tool will display recommendations for related content from news media, YouTube, or other platforms.

There are various topics that Learn About users can learn, ranging from History, Biology, Astronomy, Sports, even simple knowledge related to human and animal life. This chatbot platform also offers a list of interactive guides.

Users can ask any questions, from simple ones to the most complex. To simplify learning methods, and help topics that are being explored at school, users can also upload material.

This interactive educational chatbot is still experimental, so Google is still testing its platform. Unfortunately, this tool is not yet available in all countries, including Indonesia. We need to wait until the availability of this feature is expanded.
