Sales Of Cellphones Drop Globally, Samsung Still Beats Apple

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 sales figure is not very good, but the South Korean company could still beat Apple's sales figures for the third quarter of this year.

According to Canalys data, the number of mobile phone shipments globally in Q3 this year has increased by 5 percent compared to the same quarter last year. At the time the total shipments increased, Samsung's sales figure actually decreased.

Samsung only sends 57.5 devices globally. This percentage shows that the number of shipments is down by 2 percent. Even lower, the total shipments still pass through the number of devices that Apple has sent.

Taking second place in global shipments, Apple shipped more than 54.5 million devices. With this amount, Apple managed to control 18 percent of the global market, slightly lower than Samsung, which controls only 19 percent.

When compared to the number of shipments in the same quarter last year, Apple's total shipments were quite satisfying. The iOS developer managed to attract one percent of Samsung's subscribers because previously Apple only controlled 17 percent of the global market.

Over the years, these two companies have continued to compete in each quarter and so far Samsung continues to dominate the market. If Samsung's sales figures continue to decline, Apple may be able to occupy first place next year.

Samsung's declining global number of shipments is influenced by the latest foldable phone sales figure far from the target. Apparently, Samsung hasn't been able to attract market attention even though they have adopted Galaxy AI technology on its top-class devices.
